Here are a few words from Julie Williams – Business & Community Fundraising Manager, Hospice of the Valleys
“It started with an invitation to take part in our very first Charity Golf Day, on learning more about the vital work of Hospice of the Valleys and us visiting their office to speak with staff, they decided they wanted to do whatever they could to help. Over the past year everyone at BIS has bought their passion, fundraising efforts and general awesomeness to make a big difference to our patients and those they love the most. We feel proud and privileged that so far they have raised during 21/22 a staggering £6,808 and still counting. They began with staff coming together to scale the Welsh Three Peaks…..not exactly humble beginnings with one of the hardest challenges we can think of…. and have continued to take part in events such as our annual Go Yellow Day, 12 Ways of Christmas Campaign, purchasing Summer Raffle Tickets, sponsorship of our Celebration Walk to our Golf Day.
BIS and it’s staff have a tremendous ‘Can Do’ attitude, not only have they generously engaged in as many fundraising activities as possible for the Hospice but have gone above and beyond all expectations. We are eternally grateful for the kindness, energy and enthusiasm that they bring and have been a joy to partner with, a shining example of how a Business in the area can give back to the Community and enjoy what they do. Well done BIS, Congratulations and thanks for all your help, support and achievements from all the patients and staff at the Hospice”
